LEADING North law firm Ward Hadaway has promoted six of its lawyers.

Associates Laura Harper and Lisa Evans have been promoted to the position of partner with assistant solicitors Katy Lund, Sharon Mathieson, Stuart Craig and Sophie Claughton all becoming associates.
Laura Harper is a specialist in intellectual property and IT law and heads up Ward Hadaway’s creative industries team, which provides legal advice to organisations and individuals in the creative and digital sectors.
Her clients include international artists, games and technology companies and advertising and design agencies.
Lisa Evans is a member of Ward Hadaway’s healthcare team and specialises in defending clinical negligence claims for the firm’s healthcare clients.
She also represents healthcare clients at inquests and other contested hearings and advises on general healthcare-related issues.
Katy Lund also works in the healthcare team at Ward Hadaway where she specialises in defending NHS clients against high value and complex personal injury claims.
Sharon Mathieson specialises in property litigation and primarily acts for commercial and public sector landlords and tenants in a wide range of property matters.
Stuart Craig is a member of Ward Hadaway’s substantial employment law team where he provides advice and assistance on issues including dismissals and defending tribunal claims.
Sophie Claughton works in the property team at Ward Hadaway where she specialises in housebuilder acquisitions and other commercial property matters.
Four of the promoted people – Lisa Evans, Katy Lund, Stuart Craig and Sophie Claughton – also did their training at Ward Hadaway.
