NASDA is a forum for professional advisers to UK dentists to share knowledge and develop best practice in the sector.
Ward Hadaway is now one of a select group of law firms across the country to have their membership of the organisation approved.
The firm’s company and commercial team has advised a number of dentists in the North-East on a wide range legal matters in the sector.
Damien Charlton, partner in the company and commercial team, has recently advised on a number of sales and acquisitions of dental practices in the region.
Damien said: “We are really pleased to be accepted as associate members of NASDA because it is the real ‘go to’ organisation for dentists looking for professional advice on running their businesses.
“There is quite a degree of complexity to dealing with dental matters that requires specialist legal advice, particularly in relation to NHS practices.
“For that reason, it is important that dentists can go to advisers they can trust and who know where the potential problems are.
“This is where NASDA comes in so Ward Hadaway’s associate membership of is a valuable endorsement of the work which we carry out for our dental clients.”
Ward Hadaway recently advised Tyneside dentist Simon Muscat on the acquisition of his practice, Melita Dental, in Whitley Bay.
Simon said: “Damien and the team at Ward Hadaway did an excellent job for me when it came to acquiring the practice.
“As someone who has a very busy and demanding job, it is vital for me to know that I can trust my advisers to get on with things while I concentrate on my practice.
“Ward Hadaway carried out matters in a straightforward, no-nonsense fashion and kept me fully informed throughout the process without using legal jargon.
“The firm’s NASDA associate membership backs up my thoughts on the way in which Damien and his team carry out their work.”
As well as advising dentists, Ward Hadaway also has an extensive healthcare practice which advises more than 60 NHS organisations across the country and advises the Medical Protection Society on dental negligence claims.
