International commercial lawyer joins Ward Hadaway Leeds | 10 July 09
A COMMERCIAL lawyer with long-standing international experience has joined the Leeds office of leading North law firm Ward Hadaway.
International experience – Philip Jordan (right) is welcomed to Ward Hadaway by Andrew Hoyle, lead partner for the firm’s Leeds office.
Philip Jordan rejoins the firm having been a Partner until he left in 2005. Philip has more than 25 years experience dealing with company and commercial matters for clients across the globe.
He has advised on legal issues affecting clients trading in countries across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and both North and South America.
Philip, who joins from Watson Burton, has extensive experience advising the manufacturing, engineering and construction industries with particular expertise in relation to the steel and energy sectors.
He is the appointed company secretary to one of the world’s largest suppliers of plant and machinery to the steel-making industry, and sits as a board member of the Nuclear Institute’s North East branch.

Ward Hadaway opened in Leeds exactly a year ago and now has 11 partners and their teams at its office at Benson House, Wellington Street, in Leeds with expertise in EU and competition law, construction, commercial and company law, international trade, commercial property, property litigation, employment, IT and intellectual property, healthcare, insolvency and corporate recovery.
Together with its operation in Newcastle, the firm employs almost 400 people.
