How To Apply

We are currently recruiting for the Newcastle (2014 intake) and Leeds (2013 intake) offices. Please state clearly in your covering letter which office you are applying for.

You can apply for entry to our summer vacation placements and/or graduate training scheme by completing the graduate training application form below.

Please make your application as detailed and as relevant as you can.

Please note that the closing date for the current round of graduate training applications is 31 July 2012. The closing date for this year's summer vacation scheme is 29 February 2012.

To complete the application form, you first need to download, fill in and save one of two documents.

If you want to apply for admission to the summer vacation scheme and training contract then please right-click here, choose 'Save Target As' and save the form on your PC to fill in.

If you want to apply for just the training contract then please right-click here, choose 'Save Target As' and save the form on your PC to fill in.

As well as attaching one of these documents to the graduate training application form below, you may also wish to attach a covering letter outlining your reasons for applying for a training contract at Ward Hadaway.

The firm also invites applicants to complete an equal opportunities form to attach with their training contract application form. Whilst this is not compulsory, you are encouraged to complete a form to help the firm to monitor its equality and diversity obligations.

The equal opportunities form can be downloaded by right-clicking here, choosing 'Save Target As' and saving the form on your PC to fill in. Once completed, this form should be saved on your computer and attached to your training contract application form below.

If you require further information on any aspect of this process then please contact the graduate recruitment team on (0191) 204 4057 or by emailing recruitment@wardhadaway.com

Please read our privacy and cookie policy first to see how we will handle your personal information.

The Selection Process

Once we have received your application and processed it, you will be considered for inclusion on a short list of candidates. If you are successful, you will be invited to attend a Testing Centre at your preferred location, following which successful candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre.

This provides an opportunity to learn more about the firm and the structure of the departments, and get a feel for the type of environment you would be working in.

You will also have the opportunity to meet current trainees and other solicitors and partners. Candidates who are successful at this stage will then be invited for interview.

Please note that the graduate recruitment process takes place between March and early September and interested applicants should ensure that they are available throughout this period.
